| A Review &
Q&A
June 16, 2010 |
|
My
review of episode nine
is now available. You can read it by
clicking here.
I've been
receiving a lot of similar questions via email the past few
days and thought I'd do a quick Q&A here. Hope you
don't mind. :)
Q. When
will the show air in the UK, Canada, <insert your country
here>?
A. I'm not sure when each country will air the final
season of The Tudors. I know that in the US, the
seasons have aired exactly one year apart. For
example, Season Three begin in April 2009 and Season Four
began in April 2010. You may want to check with your
local provider to see when the show will be returning.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help!
Q. Will
the finale be two hours?
A. No, unfortunately the series finale will only be
one hour long. It starts at 9pm EST on Showtime.
Q. Will they be releasing the music from this
season?
A. Yes, please see the entry below this one which
includes a quick recap of where the soundtracks stand for
season 3 and 4.
Q. Can you tell me what happens in the finale?
A. No, I don't want to spoil it! And I only know
bits and pieces. If you want to know how it all ends,
here's a review of the final episode from
Small Screen Scoop.

| Where's
That Review & A Soundtrack Update
June 15, 2010 |
|
Wanted to post a quick note that my review of episode 9 of
The Tudors will be posted tomorrow. I'm sorry for the
delay but life interrupts sometimes!
However - I do
have some great news! I've spoken with Trevor Morris,
who is the genius behind all the musical scores you hear on
the show, and he confirmed that they will be
releasing a soundtrack for Seasons 3 and 4. Trevor
mentioned that they will be released on CD and on iTunes.
And even better - they will be released at the same time.
So you won't have to wait a few months to get your hands on
the Season 4 Soundtrack. Trevor doesn't have an
official release date - but it will be soon!
As soon as I
have more information on the soundtrack release, I'll let
you know!
Also, even
though The Tudors ends this coming Sunday this website will
remain at least through the end of the summer. I'll be
continuing to update the site with images, any news (such as
soundtracks and DVD releases), etc. So I do hope
you'll continue to stop by from time to time. :)
And finally -
don't forget to follow the site on Twitter. You can do
so by
clicking here.
Something you
may have missed on Twitter? I posted last week that
Maria Doyle Kennedy (Catherine of Aragon) will have a role
on the upcoming season of Dexter on Showtime. Congrats
to Maria!

My
review of episode eight
is now available. You can read it by clicking here.
I've also added
some images from episode eight to the image gallery.
You can view those by

Can you believe we only have two episodes left of The
Tudors? It's hard to believe. Any guesses on
what happens in these final two episodes? Aside from
the obvious with Henry. :)

| The End
is Near

It's
so incredibly hard to believe we have just four more
episodes left of this amazing show. The years have
flown by. It seems like just yesterday I was watching
something on Showtime and saw ads for a new show called The
Tudors. The one ad, with the song Lacrymosa by
Evanesence playing in the background, is the reason this
site was created. I created the site before the show
even aired - I was that impressed. The show has not
once disappointed. I've been mesmerized all four
seasons.
I can't thank everyone enough who has visited this site over
the years. I'm always blown away by your knowledge of
all things Tudors! It has been an invaluable help to
me. It's wonderful that I can ask a question and get
emails from so many of you. :) I will miss
hearing from you ...
With that, my
review of Sunday's episode is now available. You
can view it by

Did you read my
interview with
Torrance Coombs? Torrance recently did an
interview with a radio station and mentioned that he'd love
to appear on True Blood. There has been quite a bit of
discussion on Twitter about this. Would you love to
see Torrance on True Blood alongside another Tudors cast
member - James Frain? I would!

Chat with Torrance Coombs

I
haven't yet had a chance to watch last night's episode -
terrible I know! But I've heard from several of you
via email and Twitter that it was a great one. Can't
wait to watch it! I'll have my episode review for you
tomorrow.
However, I do
come with a gift. :) The Tudorsonline.com interview
with Torrance Coombs is now available. You can read it
by
clicking here. I can't thank Torrance enough
for his time and thank you to everyone who sent in
questions.
I've been
receiving some emails about the finale date for the show.
There are ten episodes this season which means we have four
more episodes left. The finale, I believe, will air
June 13th. Unless they decide to skip a week to not
lose any potential viewers to the hit show True Blood which
will be returning to HBO that evening. As soon as I
know more, I'll let you know.
Did you know
that James Frain, Cromwell on The Tudors, will be on True
Blood this season? Looking forward to it!

One ... Episode Five Review Available

My
review of the fifth episode of The Tudors is now available. You can view it by
clicking
here. I think this is the best episode of the
season thus far and actually one of the better ones from the
past two seasons. There certainly was a lot packed in
to an hour!
We recently
conducted an interview with Torrance Coombs who plays
Culpepper on The Tudors. This interview will be
available on Wednesday, May 12th. You won't want to
miss it!

Four Review Now Available!

My
review of the fourth episode of The Tudors is now available. You can view it by
clicking
here. This week I cover the genius that is
Henry Cavill, the crazy ways of Queen Katherine, and the
return of one of her oldest and dearest friends.
A quick word of
note. I've been getting a lot of emails lately that
have been directed at Showtime (some quite heated!).
Please note that this website is not run by Showtime.
This is a fan site for the show. If you have thoughts
that you'd like to share with Showtime, please visit their
website to do so. The website is

That said - I do
love hearing from everyone about the show and look forward
to your emails. :)

My
review of tonight's episode - the third episode of season
four - is now available. You can view it by
clicking
here. I thought this episode was incredibly
comical. I don't want to say too much here in case
there are those who have not yet seen it. But I do
look forward to hearing from those who have. :)
